Are You Taking These Daily Actions As A Business Owner?

Believe it or not, a lot of business owners struggle with knowing what they should be doing on a day-to-day basis in their business?  And this not knowing is what leads a lot of business owners to do what I like to call, "busy work."

It's where you feel like you're busy, but then when you think about it, you struggle to remember what it is that you got done that day.  If that sounds familiar, then I want to share with you 3 of the main things that Jill and I make sure to do every single day to ensure that our business and brand grow today, but that we're also setting ourselves up in the best possible way to grow for the future.

 The thing that Jill and I always want to do first and foremost is to connect with our already-existing audience.  These are the people that said they want to build a relationship with us, and so we want to make sure to prioritize that!

 This can look like a bunch of different things.  This could include:

  • sending out an email
  • showing love on other's posts
  • going live

Whatever that looks like for you, it's important to show up for your audience and connect with them.  Doing these kinds of things shows your audience that they aren't just a number to you or a dollar sign, but an actual human being that you care about!

The second thing you always want to make sure to do is a task/activity that is ensuring your business is around for years to come.  Like most business owners, it can be easy to get caught up in the stress of the day-to-day activities, and things like worrying about the future get moved around and forgotten.

Don't let this happen!  Nothing can hurt the momentum a business has then to not have a way to continually expand.  And again, like before, this doesn't necessarily have to mean sales and dollars.  This could also mean expanding your social media network by being on a new podcast every week.  The goal is to always set aside a little time each day to figure out the future of your business!

The last thing you want to make sure you do every single day is take a look at all your content, social media, and otherwise, and ask yourself, "Does this all make sense?  Does this all relate back to a common theme?"

Let's use us for instance.  Our theme is helping you grow your business online.  So when we step back, we have to ask ourselves, "Is all the content that we're sharing across all platforms . . . is it achieving that common theme of helping businesses grow online?"  The answer for us is yes, and hopefully yes for you too!

If not, then go back to your content pillars.  What are the things you're sharing on social media and what is the ultimate purpose for sharing that content?  When you know these things you can start to formulate a better plan for how you go about creating content and relating everything back to the ONE thing you want them to do.

Doing these 3 daily things has helped Jill and I scale our business to multiple 6-figures in less than 2 years and it's because we know the priorities we have in our business and we've got a great strategy.
